Types of Dental Fillings
- Resin Dental Fillings: White dental fillings have become the preferred dental filling method. Made from a biocompatible composite resin, white fillings can be color matched to your natural teeth for a discreet treatment option. Resin dental fillings can last for many years with proper oral hygiene. White fillings can also be used to replace old, unsightly metal fillings and provide an instant smile makeover.
- Amalgam Dental Fillings: Amalgam dental fillings are traditional metal fillings. This cost effective alternative helps restore teeth and protect them from future decay.
- Inlay & Onlay- For more advanced tooth decay a porcelain inlay or onlay may be recommended. Inlay and Onlays are better suited for large, or hard to reach areas of tooth decay. Often referred to as a partial dental crown, inlays & onlays are a more conservative and lasting treatment option for advanced tooth decay or damage.
